Default Need softer suspension

I'm looking for a new setup. I may just need new springs. I'm running Granatelli springs, with Koni SA in the front, and Bilstein in the rear. The ride is just too rough. It was fine when I lived in the south, but these Northeast roads are just horrible. I also need to raise the car since I will be putting cats in. Right now the car is slammed (pic). Looking for about an inch lower than stock. Maybe I can keep my shocks?

Sam Strano's springs are a true 1.3" drop and ride very nice with Konis, IMHO.

they won't make that much a difference...but a higher profile tire would help a little...

i 2nd strano's springs. keep your front koni's and get some koni s/a's for the rear too

+1 for loosing the 18s.

Even going from a 16 to a 17 was a huge diff in harshness....I can only imagine how harsh the 18s are. I know they look cool, but that is your main problem, and bad roads will kill them anyway.

The good news is if u r willing to sell them, a swap to 17s may end up costing little to nothing.

I have to run 18's. I have baer 6 piston calipers and 14 inch rotors. Sounds like the Strano springs would do me good.

It is not really a matter of the wheel diameter, although they are related. The taller the profile of the tire, the more flex in the sidewall, improving the ride quality. The smaller the diameter of the wheel, the taller the profile of the tire to achieve the same tire circumference. Your setup is the worst possible for ride quality, unfortunately.
Sam Strano would probably be the best to talk to, not only for the springs themselves, but what settings to use for the shocks.

What did you guys think I meant when I said lose the 18s?

Yes, more sidewall = better ride.

I'm from eastern PA. I know what the road are like, especially this time of year. I know what low profile tires feel like up there.

Although NJ does have better roads than PA
