They are also rebuildable if 5 or 10 years from now you think they have worn out.

mine went 50,000 miles before I didn't like the feel anymore. The car didn't bounce at all, but they seemed to loose control over the stock wheels and stock springs. Got koni's now and they provide even better control.

Doesn't matter- the HD's (not the revalves) have a lifetime warranty just like the Koni's do. If one goes bad just swap it out....

Not that simple. Broken is different than soft, and shocks wear with age, which is actually what Koni's adjustment started life as a looooong time ago, an adjustment to add damping as the shocks softened. Since then things have become a lot tighter, materials improve, etc. Now it can be used for that, but mostly for ride and handling changes.

HD's have a place, and when new aren't hateful (with stock springs), but they are borderline for my tastes on the control side, and that leaves no wiggle room for wear.

Is rebuilding an old shock same as revalving it? Is it worth doing so? Or do you recommend replacing them?

Revalving is not the same as rebuilding. Rebuilding is fixing or refurbishing, Revalving is changing the damping.
