3rd/4th gen FMSI brake line fittings
Hi guys,
I need to bend some custom brake lines for my 1985 Trans Am w/2002 LS1 brakes (master cylinder, discs, calipers), and I need to know what fittings I would need at the master cylinder & calipers, and if there were any tees available (I think I need to split the line for the front, or is it for the rear? Maybe it's both?)
From what I remember, the brake line sizes used were 3/16" (to f/r calipers) and 1/4" (single line to rear). I have been away from the car for quite awhile and I will be back next month, so I want to order the parts I'll need. Does anyone know what I will need (master cylinder fittings, caliper fittings, t/splitter, etc.)? I will probably order from FMSI, since they seem to have a pretty comprehensive selection of parts and lines. Other than the '02 brake setup, I will be using a Wilwood 8419 prop valve to adjust the rear brakes.

Save yourself some headache bending a bunch of lines ... use -3AN
You can get about any length and configuration -3 brake line from Day Motorsports or Pitstop USA (google search for links) or your local dirt track racer's supply.
Russell makes the adapters you need ... http://www.russellperformance.com/au.../b_lines.shtml
It's not a complete listing of everything, but you can call their tech line and get whatever you might need.
For your immediate needs, I have seen these ...
640500 - Brake Tee Adaptor - 3/8-24 IF x 3/8-24 IF x -3 AN
Used under the hood to Tee off the MC to the front disc brakes and also on the rear diff to Tee off the single rear line and then to the rear bake calipers
640541 - 90* Banjo - 10mm x -3 AN
640511 - 35* Banjo - 10mm x -3 AN
For the GM metric calipers.
Edlemen makes an 11-1.5 IF to 3/8-24 IF adapter for the LT1 master cylinder. I assume it's the same for an LS1 master cylinder.

Well, I want to use hardlines because they are more reliable and don't flex. Plus, having to bend them means having to use less cable holders, making them easier to stay in place. I have all the tools needed to fab my own lines, so that's no problem.
Here is what I have so far. For the rest of the members who read this thread and have something to say, post up.
-3/16" brake line to calipers
-1/4" line from MC to rear brakes (not sure if front brake MC line to T is same size?)
-3/8-24 x 3/8-24 x 1/4" for rear and front line T's.
-Front calipers: 10mm x 1/4" 90* Banjo nut (I'm sure it's not called 1/4"... would it be in mm, or 10mm x 1mm like oange ss suggested?)
-Rear calipers: 10mm x ? 35* Banjo nut
-LS1 MC nuts - 12mm x 1.25mm (to connect to 1/4" lines)
