Default Doing a subframe connecter install. Where do I need to put the load?

So I am having my subframes installed on my 98 in my sig by a friend of mine who welds. Should the car be evenly supported by the frame at the time of the welding? Or should the weight of the car be supported by the wheels/suspension?

It should be supported by the weight of the car in other words, use a drive on lift not a lift on body.

What about positioning the car in a way that the weight of the car is on the suspension that the wheels would support? Ex. control arms.

once the car is up in the air, you could put some screw jacks under the rear end and some on the a-arms. that would load the suspension.

best bet was stated previously, use a drive on lift.
