Pinion Angle Question
Thanks Ryan
setting pinion angle by the pumpkin and setting it at
the nose. But this is key.
What you are trying to do for traction is change the
instant center rearward and down. The rays from the
LCAs and the TA intersect and if you lower the TA
nose it does the job. Or something.
Changing the pinion angle at the pumpkin does not do
this. The -internal- angle of the pumpkin-TA assembly
changes but the link geometry as a whole, as relates to
instant center, doesn't much.
I believe the ideal is to have the relocating crossmember
up front to dial the instant center, and the adjustable
out back to reclaim proper -driveline- angle at the end of
it all.
