Default Tubular A-arm issues

I am installing a pair of UMI front tubular A-arms , but i am having trouble fitting my kyb adjustable shocks into the perches. I know you have to clearance ths mounting plate but has anyone else experienced any other issues using these shocks with these A-arms, any and all help is greatly appreciated....

unhook the steering knuckle from the upper a-arm via the upper ball joint. It will make moving the shock around easier.
