Default Have to pump pedal one time to get good brake feel, ideas?

If I am out driving and pump the brake pedal one time and then hit it again, the brakes feel great. That first time I hit it though, its spongy. I have bled the brakes several times, and everything in the system has been replaced just about:

new master
put in stainless lines
pads
rotors

I am going to try and bleed them again, but it makes me wonder if it could be an issue with air in the ABS. I honestly dont see how air could be in there and not get out after bleeding a bottle through the system, but it seems to be everyones answer to questions like this. Any ideas would be appreciated.

How does a tech 2 abs bleed get done anyway? it is all done by computer or do you have to crack bleeders open in the process?

Do these cars not cycle the ABS module when they are started? This is why I am curious on how it is done.
