Default Worn out shocks/struts???

Recently I noticed my exhuast is hitting directly over the rearend axle. Theres a pretty big dent directly over it. My exhuast seems to be very tight and bolted into place pretty good. Could my shocks/struts be worn out. They are the stock ones and I never replaced them before?

It's very possible that they are worn out.

How many miles are on them?

Also has the exhaust always been hitting the axle or just recently?

Check the rear bump stops and replace with the gm yellow foam z28 type. They may have fallen off.

And if your shocks are still OEM...get them replaced with at least Bistein HD's for the third gen. rear.
