It's not going to brake any worse. I bet it will be better. Your rotors will probably crack with time, but you can't honestly tell me you bought them because you thought they'd work better than plain rotors. You bought them for looks. So who cares if some people who like to be the ones "who know things" want to throw in your face that you could have made a better purchase in their opinion?

Unless you autocross, you have nothing to worry about. The brembo blanks that these guys worship also crack. I'm not saying that they're not a better choice for racing applications but damn i'm tired of hearing this **** about anyone who buys anything other than Brembo blanks, C5 calipers, strano springs, and koni SAs. If everyone took the advice given on this forum to a T, the LS1tech car show would be one hell of a boring event.

"Oh look there's another Procharged SOM Z28 with Kooks headers, true duals, Strano springs, koni SAs, and C5 brakes....how exciting!"

Not everyone has to buy the absolute best part every single time!

Wow...ok...maybe i've been spending a bit too much time at this place...stepping back...putting down the baseball bat...stepping outside for a few minutes.

Can somebody post up links to where they get the caliper brackets, and other parts the cheapest?

I wasn't trying to offend anyone, just trying to correct a common misconception about slotted/drilled rotors.

This is an online forum to exchange knowledge.
No need to get defensive.

In the end, its your money and your car.
Do what you want.

Doesn't BMR sell a Strange Lightweight Racing brake package too? I thought it was less than a grand. It's probably help you stop slightly better, plus it lightweight, so that's another benefit.

And by no means is that brake kit designed to be used on anything other than a drag car that gets to sit quite a bit between runs. I wouldn't trust it on a street car.

go with the c5 conversion:
c5 rotors- $77.27
c5 calipers (loaded with pads, hardware, and brackets)- $275
c5 hoses- $40
c5 conversion bracket- $100
total = $492
all prices include brand new parts and shipping.

Not trying to get in the middle of this but when 02silvaZ said he upgraded his brakes and gave his list of items he did "upgrade" his brakes. Better lines and pads and rotors. Now the rotors are not a dramatic upgrade from factory but may be better. They may crack with time but thats not a concern. All he did was state that he upgraded his brakes, which in fact he did. If you, vip1, or anyone dont want to concider the rotors an upgrade then you look past that item and look at the other things on his list and see they were an upgrade. Oh...and they look great too.
