removing rear wheel stud

One of my rear wheel studs is shot. I got a new one and I knocked the old one loose, but I can't get it out because of the plate behind it. Does anyone have any idea how to get that plate off, I think it might be part of the emergency brake assembly, but im not 100% sure.

unbolt the plate. Pull the caliper and the rotor off, and you will see it's held on with 4 bolts. You can remove teh wheel sensor (4 channel car anyway) and once the sensor is out and the plate is unbolted, you can postion it to allow for the old stud to come out. I installed the long ARP studs that way, and had no problems.

Is it the same if you have a 12 bolt vs 10 bolt

I have a 12 bolt... and I've changed a stud when I had the 10 bolt once too... same way.
