I think it looks really good. I was wanting to do it too, but I have a 98 and it seems that my rear springs are sagging already so I don't think it would look right.

I second EchoMirage, if you plan on lowering in the future, make you sure you pay the extra and plan ahead when doing the rest of your exhaust.

2. I heard that when you do the HH mod, you get a lot of noise from the rear springs because the heater hose isnt thick enough to absorb that metal to metal contact.[/QUOTE]

if it wasnt thick enough, it would rub itself out and you'd have metal to metal contact. as long as its a quality hose, its plenty thick, and should last a long, long time. dont use something like innertube, or garden hose, then youd be in trouble. when i had the hose, i went over some pretty bad bumps, with no extra noise. i had to put the isolater back on because i was just too low with my exhaust.

5/8 or 3/4 ; I used 3/4 it was a bit easier to slid over the coil.

5/8 is fine. spray a little WD40 on the spring and inside the hose, and itll slide on with no problem.

Oh boy. I'm going to get char broiled extra crispy for this... but i can't tell the difference. Also, I'm going to have to look up the HH mod 'cause I've never heard of it...

How much hose did you use? What length is enough to cover the top coil?

By just making a visual in my head I would assume it should only take 6-8 inches to cover the top coil.

Heres a guide i wrote a while ago. https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...=1#post7362262

And Ive had it for a month or two and their is absolutely no noise, i guess it could wear through the hose eventually buy i cant see that happening for a while.

I think these pictures have convinced me to do this mod, I love how it removed the rake and the big fender gap. If you look at my sig you can see my car has a similar stance to Reid's car before the mod. I don't want to run lowering springs because I'm concerned with ground clearance, especially in the front, but a 3/4" drop in the back should be mint.
