Default Not your conventional pinion angle question

I don't have easy access to a drive on lift and need to set my pinion angle. My basic question is can I load the rear end and not the front while making sure the car is level without screwing up my geometry? Or do I need to load all 4 wheels? I was wanting to back onto some ramps and then just jack the front to adjust it.

You can jack the car up with the rear end loaded, then take a reference angle off the output shaft of the trans. If the driveshaft is still in it, you can take the reference angle off of the crank pulley.

Set the pinion at the same angle, then rotate the rear end toward the ground the desired amount of degrees.
