Seat time. Nothing beats doing it over and over for getting better.

Well, usually.

If someone is just making the same mistakes over and over, it's no help. They have to work hard on their driving while they are getting that seat time.

If you are looking to improve the handling without lowering the car, you should consider the 1LE springs if you don't already have them.

There are several locals running ESP in the Central IL region, but none are fully prepped. My '99 Z28 has Strano springs, Koni SA shocks, Strano front bar, 1LE rear control arm bushings, T2R diff, and 17" SS wheels with Hankook tires. There is a '99 SS running similar setup except for 1LE springs, lid and cat-back, Avon tires. A heavily modded WRX also runs, but needs larger wheels/tires. There are usually 2-6 drivers in ESP at most events, so it is good competition.

We run novice indexed classes, as well as an indexed street tire class. There will be a test and tune event Saturday, Sept. 1st, with a regular trophy event Sunday the 2nd. You should bring your car out. I will be the event chair, running the black z28, so stop by and say hi.

RacerX11...is this at Chanute AFB? If so, I know Russ Bedford (yellow Z06) very well, as well as Greg Lukach (96 GS Vette) and I think I know the WRX you are talking about (black with white hood and tire rack decals) I will hopefully be out there, even without my suspension mods. I never thought of the 1LE springs....thanks!

Yes it is. I have an extra set of 1LE springs if you decide to go that route.

Not to sabotage a potential sale, but I'd not bother changing to 1LE springs. You don't lower the Cg, and you don't gain any more camber. And I ran my car (ordered it actually) in F-stock against 1LE's, and won--a lot. Actually non-1LEs win more autoxes than 1LE's. I think the non 1LE car works better with the right front bar and stuff in FS. That's why I ordered one.
