Need electrical help with TR Line lock kit I put in a TR line lock kit. It worked great until one day, the button started to flicker on and off and it would engage the line lock too.
I sent it in and got a new one. I put the new one in and never tried it because it was Nov. and the car was being put in storage. This spring, I went to use it and it didn't work at all. I ASSumed it was the button, so I sent it in and got a new one.
I put the new one in and it doesn't work. I have the + (gray)wire going to the grn + lead. The little red wire going to the purple.
I have current going to the +lead, but when I engage the button, I get no current and nothing works correctly.

Re: Need electrical help with TR Line lock kit Take your voltmeter and measure resistance through that switch (you'll have to disconnect it first). YOu should see less than 1 ohm with the switch engaged (it actually should be .02 or less...). If it passes that test, make sure you still have a good ground on the other side of the solenoid (I dont' have a wiring diagram, so I don't have the colors for you). One of these two tests will likely clear up your problem....if not, let me know what you have and drop me a line....Good luck.
