I remember reading something once about the 1LE cars had some sort of reinforcement where the front swaybar brackets are.
Is this true?
Is it necessary?
Do 02 SS's have it?
Any info appreciated, Thanks

Are you talking about reinforced swaybar brackets? I had broken a front swaybar bracket last year. I had severe scary uncontrollable oversteer all of a sudden during an autox event. I know SLP used to make them but don't anymore. There was someone making their own on another website and doing group purchases that seemed like a good deal.
FWIW, the brackets are like 8 bucks a piece from GM. If you just bought a ton and then swapped them whenever you broke one, then it would probably cost less or the same as a reinforced bracket. It would just be a pain to swap them all the time.

Blainefab, search on FRRAX. I have them. It was easier for me to just get them from him, powder coated vs having some one else fab it. He makes nice stuff!
I have them, kinda as insurance. Never had a failure, but never want to have one if I can avoid it for under $100.
