Default Front Passenger Side Noise/HELP

There is a loud noise coming from my front passenger side of car at various times. The noise is a loud rubbing whoa whoa humming sound and it stops when I used the brakes. I jack the car up in the air and turned the wheel and noise could not be found or made. I believe it may be the wheel bearing. Can anybody give some input in what the noise is or how it may be diagnos? Thanks a million.

Could be a front bearing assembly.

With the tire off the ground, grab the bottom and top and try and make the wheel wobble. If the bearing is bad you should hear a "clicking" sound ... at least I did on mine.

It could also be a sticking caliper. Take the guide pins out, clean and re-lube them.

Also inspect the caliper pistons and dust boots. If the boots are ripped, you probably should consider a caliper rebuild.
