Default Ideal street/strip suspension setup? not your average...

First off, i want to set some background here.

2000 stripper formula m6

The car is my fun/weekend car. I drive it on the street as well as the track.

We are ordering a Moser 9inch this next week.

I want to do a mini-tub so i can fit a 14inch wide tire on the back.

I had afew ?'s on suspension setup.

1.) would a 14inch tire interfere with the control arms?
2.) would there be a better place (for traction) to move the control arms
3.) what control arms, springs, shocks, torque arm, rear sway, etc. would you advise for perfect traction?

anything else you want to offer would be great.

thanks guys..

matt

Metco Control Arms with relocation Brackets put in middle hole

Hals shocks front and back with Hal front drag springs

Random Technology Torque Arm pinion set -2 or -3

Slicks of your choosing for wheel size

Removal of front sway bar

skinnies up front of course for track

front end weight removal

Subframe connectors

Just getting you started. I would buy most light components as possible within your budget. Of course get the car as light as possible. I keep my car full interior because I drive mine on street and at the track. Cheers and good luck.

The torque arm attaches in the exact locations as stock. As far as HP rating, never heard/read of anyone breaking it. It's quite beefy. I run -2 on the street and for track.

If you mini tub your car you may as well just do a 4 link. I'm not realy sure cuz im not lookin under my car right now but none of the factory stuff is gonna work other then your torque arm. The control arms are already close to the tires and if you go with a wider tire that you want to tuck up into the fender well it may come in contact with the ends of the panhard rod. My nova runs 14" tires and its close between the tires....granted novas are narrow cars. Personally i wouldnt mini tub a new car and pay for all the custom work when there are guys runnin 8's in a stock fenderwell 11" tire car. If you do decide to go this route good luck with it.
