A good set of street tires can do wonders? Are you getting any wheel hop? What kind of shocks are you running? etc etc, very broad question.

I just have a set of regular tires on. I hate to put drag radials on because i drive alot of miles. I don't have any wheel hop at all, it just spins up to 3rd gear. I have 4.10 so I'm sure that doesn't help. I have heard that shocks help alot. Is that true?

Yes shocks can help a lot...ur gear is what is causing it too though low gear and decent amount of mods. Make sure you have good street tires.

Good set of lower control arms and a set of relocation brackets are the most popular first mods to get a car to hook.

LCA's for sure, I personally don't have relocation brackets on my car, and I almost pull a full sized front tire off the ground on a 255 et street radial in the rear. this is through a 6 speed car. here's what I would do;

Subframe connectors first
LCA's
Drag shocks in rear
Relocation brackets
Torque arm

I cut a 1.51 60' without subframe connectors and it was one of the scariest things I have ever experianced, my buddy said the car looked like a wet lasagnia noddle flopping around when I left the line. It felt even worse inside the car. i think the driver's side was about 6" higher than the pass.

I currently am using the stock LCA's and bushings. I don't really have a wheelhop problem too often, only when I launch bad. I'm wondering how much the switch to poly/rod lcas will significantly help me.

Also I launch from a horrible surface, almost worse than a normal street. Do you think that LCA's would help any with keeping traction down on the ground. I'm lowered so my LCAs are pointing down from axle to chassis. I won't do LCA relo brackets because I need turning stability

If your car is lowered you really need relocation brakcets. Plus drag radials are a huge improvment. I can dead hook on radials on the street while i'm still sideways at 80 on regular street tires

I can't get anything lower than 100 treadwear so Nitto 555rs are my only choice. In the event that I'm in, I'm actually launching and then driving one lap around a short oval track so long sweeper turns are considered.
