Go with Monroe shocks and Eibach springs and a 25mm rear bar.

What kind of racing are you wanting to do? Drag and road race setups are completely different.

shocks and subframe connectors (or a cage i suppose) are the biggest things you can upgrade.

stock shocks SUCK

and the body flex has to be controlled before you can ever expect the suspension to function to it's potential.

beyond that:
lower control arms
sway bars
springs
torque arm
relocation brackets

SFCs are a waste of $ and added weight. with the right spring/shock combo they are completely unnecessary. STBs are a complete waste of $ too unless you need a bar to lean on working under the hood...but it'll also get in your way.

the best mod you can do is the cheapest.

MORE SEAT TIME

I guess I want to hook good when I drag race, without making my handling worse.

You will probably want to learn what exactly you want your car to do. If your new to the whole suspension thing, there's a lot of assumptions that new people make and assume that if you add a part then this happens to my car. Lots of times the assumptions are wrong.

Typically a drag racing setup for straight line launching compared to a road race handling setup are opposites of each other. Road racing and a normal street driving setup go somewhat hand in hand though. There are things you can do to improve your car's launching ability that will make it harder to handle around an autox track, and vice versa. Something that you might not know, and I definitely didn't know when I first got my Camaro. You just have to decide what you want to improve on and what you are willing to sacrifice.

I was just kidding with the above mentioned set up. I run a Hotchkis front bar 36.5, 22 mm rear bar, Koni shocks, and G2 Super springs. Just in case anyone was wondering.

Would lower control arms from UMI be a good investment or a waste of money? Also would it affect handling?
