what's the second set of holes for on the rear of a aftermarket T/A?

Those are typically there so it fits some of the 9" and 12 bolt rears for these cars. Since the rear is larger and has been "built" to fit the car, the TA gives you some extra clearance for the larger rear end and that's when you use those other holes.

On our bracket you would use the inners. You might need to trim the bracket to make it fit.
