Default Heater Hose Mod

Is this mod worth it? Im considering doing it soon and i just want to make sure it is a good mod and worth doing. I would also like feedback on some people that have done it. If anyone doesnt know what it is

Wouldn't it make the car sit funny though with the rear lower than the front?

The original idea behind it was to go along with buying Koni SA shocks for the front, which have two perches, letting you mount stock springs in a lower location. This lowers the front by about 3/4", but lots of people didn't like the raked look. So, by removing the isolator and replacing it with 5/8" heater hose, people were able to level the front and rear. In short, it's a way to use stock springs, but still lower the car.

I wouldn't do it unless you're planning to lower the front too.

I removed mine and noticed some noise and yeah the rear does sit lower then the front. I think I might be putting them back in some time soon.

I've done it. Didn't notice any noise or decrease in handling

Our cars come with a raked stance from the factory; the rear is higher than the front. The car will sit level, not uneven

I did it to my '01 Z, it was very simple to do & doesn't take much time, I didn't get any noises from it. I think it leveled the car out well... If you did it & decided that you wanted to undo it, you aren't out much time or money.

There are some pics on my FQuick of the '01Z with it done....

quick question.. if i've lowered my ride with eibachs on the stock front perch, will the heat hose mod make my stance level? or lower in the rear than the fronts?

It was already said that our cars have a raked stance from the factory so it will make the ride level... so if you lower the front, it should still have some rake, but to the naked eye I would assume it would still look close enough to being level.

Ya know, the previous owner may have done this to mine. I was parked next to another camaro the other day and we noted that the back of my car sat lower than his. I gotta check that out.
