Use the 30/30/30 method. Make 30 gentle stops from 30 MPH in 30 Min. This will help bed the pads and heat cycle the rotors. Then don't slam on the brakes for a few hundred miles.

I got the Hawk HPS pads, and i just followed the break in instructions that were on the box. Cant go wrong by following the manufacturers recommended break in procedure IMO...

The Hawk pads should have come with instructions. My HPS pads did. If they didn't come with any break-in instructions, check out Hawk's website.

Hawk HPS instructions are to do many consecutive moderately hard stops from 60mph. ....do not stop to zero and hold the peddle while this is break-in is being done.

Cool the rotors and pads completely after break-in and drive normally after that....

...not sure if ceramic break-in is the same, however.
