Possible Break Upgrade?

Brake upgrade using used parts? Or did that just come out wrong in your post?
Intall isn't hard, just messy. Brakes always are. Plus, it depends on the overall condition of your vehicle...if you keep up on its maintenance, it won't be as bad as if it is the first time you've ever taken the wheels off.

For Pete's sakes, you're looking at a "brake" upgrade - not a "break" upgrade.
What are your goals and budget? Are you having a problem now or do you just want more?
My guess is it's time for a brake job anyway and you want to upgrade at the same time. Let me recommend:
Hawk HPS pads
Brembo blanks (or local parts store rotors if on a budget)
Stainless lines
Complete brake flush with ATE blue fluid.
That will feel worlds better to you and have better performance.
You could always get LG brackets and C5 rotors for some additional leverage on the rotors but that will be an extra $350 or so beyond what the above will cost, about $400. Good luck!

I auto-x with duralast blank rotors, they wont make you stop any faster, but they will resist warping better than stock (yes, stock rotors do warp). As for pads, do some reaserch and find out what best suits your needs. I run hawk pads, but there are alot of other options out there. And jmilZ28 is right about the brake fluid. Make sure at the very least you bleed your brakes after the install. good luck
