I have to disagree. Nothing beats cruising around on a sunny day w/ windows down. My t tops don't leak if its raining but if it rains a lot and my car sits during the entire storm water likes to drip in the front of my t top when i press the brakes. I don't see why a roll cage would help the leaks

Well last monsoon rain here in AZ, mine leaked maybe a couple drops. On the same line of thought, about what speed do you guys tend to hear a road noise from the T-Tops? Above 72 MPH seem to get a bit of noise near the back T-Top seal, is that a normal thing?

IMO you don't need a cage to stop the t-tops from leaking. Just make sure your seals are good, put some stuff on them to soften them up, and get them adjusted right. I drive a third gen with no extra bracing anywhere yet; those cars are a lot weaker than fourth gens. I've only got stuck in the rain a couple of times, but my t-tops didn't leak a drop. They don't leak when I wash it either.

My t-tops don't leak a drop. Guess I'm lucky

My '96 Lt-1 leaked on the passenger side. It was funny any time I had a passenger ride with me I would give them a towel to put on their right leg and they would give me the funniest look.

When I hit the brakes water would trinkle down the t-top and into the lap of my passenger.

Mine leak if I run it through a high pressure touchless car wash but not during rain. Occasionally when have to drive in rain I get a drop here and there. Hey 87formy. How do you adjust them?

I don't know that you can get them good enough to not leak from a high pressure wash, but you pop the plastic pieces off where the t-tops mount to, there's a little bracket thing with two bolts in it. There should be one in the front and one in the back, loosen them up, move 'em down a little, tighten them up, close the door and test it out with a dollar bill or something, and just mess with it till you get it good.

I can't verify the procedure 100% because I'm in a thirdgen, but it should be pretty obvious once you pull the plastic pieces off.

It probably wouldn't hurt to check that the pins in your t-tops are coming out all of the way while your at it. Should probably throw some vaseline or wd-40 or whatever on them to get a nice seal. That's probably going to get them as good as they're ever going to be.

My t-tops never leaked, knock on wood.

I have SFC's, had them on since 24K miles. I don't have any wind issues at all with my t-tops either, as I've gone over 135mph with no sounds, so I be very lucky!!!

Thanks for the response Formy! That is new news to me. I will sure give it a try. I guess SFC's are next cause if it never gets any worse I can certainly live with it. Been wantin to do SFC's since cold weather got here cause all of a sudden more it rattles more everywhere.
A note on SFC's. A very knowledgable sponsor on this board who I greatly respect verified something I had been told by some other folks. SFC's won't keep you from getting corner panel wrinkles that many of us think it will. . Think about it. Those wrinkles come in the QP BEHIND where the SFC's hook into the LCA'S so how could SFC's stop that from happening. They are not supporting that piece of the chassis directly. Makes sense to me. They do have other advantages and I will be installing a pair in the near future just to firm things up and hope for less door and T-top creak.
Thanks again formy, I will give it a try!

If anyone's are leaking, make sure the drainage hole that is in the front outside corner is clear. My driver's side leaked a bit when I bought it (used). Turned out some insect had crawed inside the hole to hibernate and died in there. Once he was gone, the leak was gone too.
