Default front QA1 single install questions...

I am getting some second F-series shocks and am wondering if the stock shock hardware will work with the QA1's?
-- should i just buy the hardware from Thunder or get some grade 8 from the hardware store?
--it doesnt appear that the shocks have the thrust bearings, can the shocks still be adjusted for height on the car? will it be hard? I bought the spanner wrench also.
--I'm installing 275lb springs in the process so how will I need to set the shock to give it stock ride height? set the lower spring nut 1" higher?
this is what im getting

thanks for the help

You don't need the bearings but makes it alot easier. You can replace the shims later if the springs mar them up.

No it isn't hard to adjust the springs if you have the spanner wrenches.

With that weight spring to get the car back to a near factory ride height you will need to adjust the spring up to around 3" of the top of the threaded portion of the coilover. As far as the actual adjusting it's not fun but not much of a choice

I'd get the thrust bearings. Not much fun adjusting em with em, let alone without em.

do they seriously help that much? if I install the shocks with the springs set as Lee said I should be fine without adjusting.

i see summit has the thrust bearing kit for $26.

the 2 bearings; is this for a pair of shocks or does each shock take 2 bearings?

You need only 1 bearing and 2 races per side. On my car they adjusted just as hard with or without them.

actually, another question:
just got the shocks today( the pic posted earlier above is all i got) and there's no hardware included. Does the Thunder racing hardware kit include all the hardware I need for the 2 front shocks? it's only $10 for the pair. The fronts dont have any rubber bushings, correct? any washers? just trying to figure theres out before i install them in the next few weeks. havent uninstalled my stockers yet
