Personally i left mine in, but a lot of people use properly sized heater hose and wrap it around the first coil. You won't need an adj PHB for the majority of the cars out there, unless your car is right on the edge of factory tolerances.

thanks for the help. I will be trying this tomorrow. If I don't like, I can always put them back in and do it... "the right way"...

This will only lower the back end though. The front will sit higher... Just FYI

is pretty much all stock except the hotchkis stb, so if i lower the back and raise the front it will even out the car... that's the look I want untill I can afford to spend the 8 to 900 on suspension parts that i want.

Any lowered car will affect the ride a little but I think to get a good looking ride high you are going to have to cut off more than you need too, which will equal sucky ride good shocks = good ride not the springs.
