is something wrong with my struts?
hey guys i think i have a issue,i had a prokit on the front of 02 camaro with 78k miles and it sat pretty high so i changed out the prokit for sportlines to get low and belive it or not it didnt move at all stayed the same height. i ran the numbers on the springs and there for a ls1 and these are original struts. is something wrong? thanks guys. heres a pic of how it looked with a prokit and how it still looks with the sportlines the pic makes it look lower than it actually is.its really close to stock height [IMG] [/IMG]

The springs control the height so you have a problem with your springs. First make sure the springs are seated in the perches properly (makes a difference). If that's not it, you can cut the springs to suit your needs if you want. Doesn't cost anything.

Could just be that set of springs...
Had 2 friends with 02' stangs, bought the same springs, same day, one sits about .5'' lower than the other.
maybe they were monday/fridays and the craftsmanship was lacking.

its wierd how the car sits. i have sportlines. and my car is way lower then his!
i dont think that eibach could have made the springs that way off. i can fit one of my fingers between the tire and finder on my car, and on his i can fit 2.... and my springs have very little miles on them. there pratically new.

Well, there's your problem - our cars don't have struts! We have shocks. In fact, in the front, we have factory coilovers. My suggestion is to see if you have them mounted incorrectly. The top/bottom of the spring may be caught on a lip or something, and not fully seated.
If you can, jack the car up and set the front wheels on ramps (or drive it on there, if you can). That way, you can look under the car with the suspension compressed and can actually see what's going on.

what we thought was wierd is. when i did my springs. we didnt even have to compress the new ones to get the top bolt on. with his we did have to compress the springs quite abit to assemble it again...
