You might be right on some cars, but you are simply wrong here. The stock rotors on these cars were either underengineered or were obtained from a defective source. I'm 57 years old, have almost 1M driving miles under my belt, and this is the first set of rotors I've been able to warp. And it happened before the car ever saw a drag strip, or even spirited street driving.

Once the stock rotors warp, they are gone. You can have them turned, but they are going to warp again pretty fast. If your rotors are warped now, talk to us again 10k miles after you have them turned, and we will see if I'm right.

I agree with this.

It's really the runout from uneven material padding on the rotors that can be corrected through resurfacing. If the rotor truly warps, then it's next to impossible to correct through resurfacing.

I needed some new rotors, and this time I went with Ate rotors from Sam Strano. I think they are a good option, although I can't speak to their durability since this is the first set I've ever bought from Ate.

You'll like them... Had great luck with the ATE's and in fact based on cost and the extra's (like the coating) and the fact Brembo keeps moving their plants to various countries I'm recommending the ATE over Brembo most of the time these days.

ancient thread, I bought brembo blanks which were coated with zinc and included free cryo. they were made in Mexico when I got them by the way. And I'm happy
