Default WTF is with GM part numbers?? Confusion about brake numbers...

Ok so first, if you want a LS1 part number catalog download this

http://www.z28.com/LyleA/93-02%20%20...s%20Manual.pdf

Then go to page 830.

You'll see this diagram, THIS is everything I need, and I couldn't be happier.

So it looks like all I have to do is order #14 right?

Only problem is it seems like all those part numbers are OLD and dont work anymore?

WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!

i found this....

Part number 10434795 was superseded by part number 10444623.

So I assume that means that the new part number is 10444623.

However, it's less than 100 bucks for that part number.....on gmpartsdirect.......

Less than 100 bucks for 13 parts? hmm

There's more to the story. This mechanism is a patented one by a company out of Australia called PBR. (So, the parts are really hard to find.)

Exactly what part are you looking for? If you don't need the entire set of parts, there are ways to get the individual pieces.

I'd go to the dealer, usually gmpd's shipping offsets the good price. And the dealer can look up the old and new numbers and tell you exactly what comes with it. If you really need to use gmpd just go to the dealer to verify what comes with that part number, and if it's complete come home and order online.

Answers in these posts:

Some dealers (like my local one) are having issues looking up these part numbers in their systems, but if you go in with the numbers, they should be able to hook you up. Online dealers will also have much better prices.
