Panhard bars and lowering???

Default Panhard bars and lowering???

Ok, i have a set of SLP Bilsteins and Eibach prokits springs going onto my 02 Z28, I heard that i need an adjustable panhard bar for this, i have a non-adjustable BMR peace on there now. Whats the deal?

most of the time when you lower the car, the rearend seems to go to the side little, this is where the adj panhard bar comes in. you have to adjust the bar to locate the rear. most are not located propely from the factory. hope this helps.

I have the same springs, and it did shift to one side. I installed a adjustable one and used the gap between fender opening and tire side wall as my gauge.

The panhard bar controls the rear end of the vehicle side to side. One side of the panahrd bar mounts to the chassis of the car and the other to the rear end. The lower you lower the vehicle the further it will push the rear end to the drivers. The adjustable panhard bar allows you to lower the vehicle and still keep the rear end nice and centered under the car. With out you may have tire rubbing.

Yeah, like posted above the rear will move to drivers side. Rodend /poly = quietest while rod/rod won't bind (handle better) but may make a little noise (or lot if tolerance is low). I have rod/rod but only 3500k so I may not be the best to ask as my UMI piece is still quiet. I suspect it will get noisey at some point......
