Destroyed Sway bar bushings?
My dad has an 00 C5 with 13,000 miles. It's garaged and hardly driven, as you can see by the miles. Also, it's never driven hard and it's certainly not run through its paces when it comes to corners.
He's getting a small clunking noise when he turns at speed. He said he looked up under the car and it looks like one of his bushings is cracked. How likely is it that this is the problem? I know it could be the control arm bushings as well. I'm going over to look at it tonight, but I wanted to know if there is anything else I should look for or if this is a common problem.
Thanks

The rubber will "surface crack", that is not that uncommon. It will be worse if there is a welder, or anything with an electric motor (refrigerator, air compressor, etc) in the garage. Those items (the electric motors or arcs) produce ozone that breaks down rubber. Switch to poly or replace them with another set (or, leave them for a while, small cracks will not be a problem for daily use).
