Default Replacement shocks

I have the factory shocks on my car and am a tick over 100,000 miles. I am broke right now. Like, poor *** college student spent way to much money on a motor and transmission broke. BUT I am hearing bad noises on speedbumps even and I know it is time to get some replacement shocks.

What would you reccomend? Should I spend the money now and get the best and be more broke or is there a set of shocks out there that are affordable and still offer some decent performance? Help a poor kid out, it is appreciated greatly guys

If you decide not to go the koni route then i would say go with either KYB adjustables, or the Tokico set off of strano's site. Are you planning on lowering the car or keeping the stock ride height?

If your car has 100k miles on the clock and still has the oem shocks then yes you really need to do smth about it because they must be in pretty bad shape right now, very rough ride, etc, I'd go Bilstein with stock springs, but why don't you call Sam Strano, he'll help you out.

I might be interested in just a new set of shocks, too. I'm not sure I want to lower my car. I think I can get a really good deal through a friend on bilsteins, so I'd probably end up going with them even if I have to wait a little while.

Lowering the car is really not an option. I have SLP LTs and about 3/4ths a soda can of clearance on a good day. I have skid plates on the headers but no way in hell I could lower the car I'd be grinding everywhere. So KYB's or Strano is the way to go?
