Default Low traction light prob and stuff

K guys I posted this before with no luck. Every now and then when I lightly get on the brake like when coming to a stop at a light my low traction light comes on and I get this loud ticking sound like TACK TACK TACK and the pedal like pulses a little bit. Any ideas? Could it be from the 4.10s??

I had a similar problem like this in my LT1, where the entire car felt like it would not stop, then it would, and I would get the low tach light, it turned out to be the sensor in the hub. I got the noise described and the whole bit.
check out partszoneonline.com for cheap gm oem parts.

by the way, did you get the car calibrated for the 4.10s? Not sure much of a difference that could be though???

mine was the driver's side front, you maybe able to tell which side has gone bad

if you ask any parts department for that front ABS sensor, they will know what you need, but you will need to be able to figure out which side has gone bad

Do you have 3 or 4 channel abs? If its 3 then did u put the reluctor ring back on the ring gear when u put the 4.10's in?

Damn... I heard that before. The only thing I dont do is rear ends (but of course..sarc.). But I took it to a very reputable shop here so I would assume they put it back in. Yeah ASSume. Anyway if it was the sensors how could I tell which one it is?

thanks guys

have a shop do a diagnosis, would be the easiest way, but I am sure there are others(some will only charge 1/2 hour labor(35/40 dollars instead of 70/80), you might call around). After all I did not find what the problem was in my case, I had a Chevy dealer do the test

the sensor in the rear would be easy to identify though, it sits right behind the cover on the top of the housing in a 3 channel.

in the front, you should notice a "slip" in the breaking as the abs sensor on that side which is failing will try to engage abs when not needed, at least thats what was happening in my case.

with my luck, the shop who put in the 4.10's didn't put the reluctor ring back in.
