Default need clarification on relo. brackets.

So I cant find it but I read it on a one of the sponers websites that they are made to reduce squating. Im confussed because dont you want the car to squat to transfer wieght to the rear of the car? My cars not lowerd so im just not sure if I need these. Can some one clear this up for me? Thanks.

You dont want the car to squat to transfer weight. When you dump the clutch the rearend is slammed down towards the ground. (If the geometry of the suspension is correct) If the control arms are running in a level or down hill plain(from the housing mount to the body mount) then the rear end has a hard time transferring the energy to the track and allows the body to "squat". The relocation brackets give you some adjustment to change the geometry of the control arms to give you an uphill plain(rearend to body) which will help the rear end stay planted on the ground and will actually lift the back of the car and increase the weight on the rear tires.

Couldn't have worded it better myself....

Weight transfer occurs due to inertia. When 'squatting' occurs, some of the weight transfer due to inertia is being absorbed by the rear spring and shocks, therefore less weight transfer is available to push the tires into the pavement.
I would rather use the energy used to compress the rear springs and 'squat' and use the energy to lift the front to not waste those energies and use them to move the vehicle forward in a more violent acceleration rate.

Good explaination. I'm looking to get an edge at my spectator drags that would help me launch a little better. I'm on strano springs and have stock LCAs and no relo's. I often have to play catchup against the best drivers.
