Need Some Stranos....
I finally purchased my first F-body. A white 98 Z28 M6. I have already ordered wheels/tires, but I need to lower the Z now.
I know there are plenty other springs out, but I have heard the best comments and praises about Stranos. As most of you may know...the Stranos are on backorder right now. If anyone has a set NIB or even a slightly used set that are still in good condition...meaning there are no sag issues or otherwise (which I doubt with Stranos), PLZ reply or PM me ASAP.
Thanks Guys!

I have alternatives.... please contact me for details.
Neither of the above are great alternatives to my springs, or ones I'd usually recommend (for obvious reasons on LG which I don't sell, but I could sell Vogtland's production springs, I just don't like the the winding/rates).

Sorry.... no. GP's are a huge problem with people flaking out, saying they're in, but never following through, and seeing as how I can't keep the springs in stock at the current (and I think fair pricing) there is no incentive to slash prices sell them.
I moved 100 sets in less than 3.5 weeks. Maybe a GP would sell me more, but I can't order, house or ship more than what I'm currently doing so there's really not upside.

I was happy with my Hypercoils and just found out they still sell them directly. Here's their tech specs: Front 248 lb/in 611 lb/in working, 360-580
Rear 73 lb/in 237 lb/in working, 168-260
Front springs weight 8.61 ea, rear 8.2 ea. According to Chris at Hyperco, they drop 1.2 "
Sam, not trying to take anything from you, just sharing my own experiences. If people can wait, I'm sure yours are great, but they can't possibly be the only spring everyone should consider. Heck, I may end up with yours. My money/timing/car needs just are never right.

And like most things, they are mostly good.... The fronts are stiffer than mine are, and if I don't need that much rate on my car which, when autoxed runs on 17x11's and 315 Hoosier R-compound tires that generate more roll most others don't either.
The real issue is the rear springs, they are nothing like what I run. Mine are dual stage progressives (need to be to stay in the car @ full droop). But that rate is short, and 100 lbs. and gone when the weight of the car sits down on the spring. In other words it's not a working rate. The working rate of my rears is 150. About 25% stiffer than stock, exactly what I use on my car, and as you can see WAY less than what Hypercoil working rates are in the rear. I don't see the need for springs that, A. have rates that change that much because you can't damp for that range at all times, and B. are at times upwards of twice as stiff as the stock springs are.
Here's the deal... there are a lot of springs around out there. Some just suck front and rear. Some are just screwy on one end. Some are not (mine included IMHO since I have proven the work and can't think of anyone who really doesn't like them).
My springs are not the only ones to consider, and I have never said they are. They exist for handling. They are what they are because it's what I found to be best through my testing and experimenting. The guys who want to slam the car, my springs aren't right. The guys who want to "just lower" the car without regard to details, my springs aren't right. It'd be stupid of me to say that mine are perfect for everyone--I hate that kind of propaganda. However, I think between the magazine articles, the word of mouth, and my results on my rates and heights, that they are right for a great number of folks who care about how the car as as package works.
