Default Best way to remove welded subframes?

Whats the best way to remove welded-on SFCs? Only the front points are welded... just a grinder with a cutoff disc and try to cut along the welds? Better way to go about this, or any helpful tips from anyone thats tried it? Thanks!

Well it would be easier to grind accross the tab thats welded to the car, but then your subframe is useless....if you plan to reuse thats your only option what you sugguested.

Better question is "Why are you removing them?" might help as to how to take them off. Wrecked car, cut through the floor pan, then clean off the SFC's.

Just wanted to switch to a bolt-on style sfc. I've just run into issues with them when trying to line up the holes when removing and installing lcas, and it would just be more convenient for cleaning and other things to be able to remove them as needed, rather than always working around them. So I guess cutting the weld is the best option if I want to reuse that front mounting point.

I cut along the weld of my SFC's when I removed them. Just be sure not to cut into the floorboard sheet metal.
