Default KYB AGX or Bilstein?

I only plan on changing the shocks at this point. I want better than stock handling along with a somewhat decent ride. Which would be best for my setup?

How much of a difference are they vs the stock shocks in terms of handling?

Bilstein is a great shock. More affordable than the Koni's.

The KYB is a good shock, it does what it is suppose to do for OE replacement. But everyone on here can agree to stay away from them and invest into a set of Bilsteins. At the very least.

Right now, AGX, simply because (unless something has changed that I haven't heard about) Bilsteins are STILL on national backorder.

I would go with the Bilsteins if they are avail. During the time I was doing my suspension they were on b/o for 3 months so I went with the KYB's. They handle great and have had no problems with them.

I can't recommend Bilstein's since they mucked up the valving about 2 years ago now.
While a quality built product, the point of a shock is to best control what's up. I don't really care if something will last forever if it doesn't work the way I think it could or should. 3 years ago if you asked the same question, I'd have told you HD's. Not today.

Today it's harder to answer this question. Things I use range from Koni (whenever possible, the only thing I'm 100% happy with) down through AGX's and Tokico's. Given the original statment, I think I'd recommend Tokico's here. Seems that lowering is not in the plan, and just some fresh shocks are.

Yep. Still on backorder. I should have mine in about two weeks I hope.
