Question 4x4- HELP ME!

Ok, I know that if I would have done hours of research I might not have to ask this question...

I have a 99 Z28 and just put 18" chrome C6's all around. 275 9.5" up front and 295 10.5" in rear. This also made me look like a 4x4, it has a LOT of gap in the wheel well.

This being said, I believe its obvious that I need more than a 1" drop. So BMR and any other in that range wouldn't be for me, (I believe). I guess I am leaning towards the pro-kit or sportlines. (and if I were to do the sportlines, is the ride really that bad?) I will do shocks also, and thats where you guys come in. What combo would you reommend? And can you give me a quick rundown on how coilcovers work? I am confused.

Yeah you need some drop springs. An Eibach pro-kit will close that gap up really well.

I would do that except for I heard that strano springs advertise a 1" drop, and I guarantee I need more than 1.25"

xBrokex, do you have any other pics of your ride height? It may be too high for my personal taste.

and 95greenz28, can you help me understand the difference between adjustable shocks and regular ones?

sportlines are a terrible idea.

www.stranoparts.com

Call him and talk to him, he is willing to talk to you about what you want from the setup and what parts you should get.

He doesn't just try to sell you his parts! He carries a vareity and will try to recommend what is best for you!

That is with a 1" drop. I'm happy . . . it has settled a bit more too.

Well I believe I will go with Konis but I need a bit more of a drop... not that yours looks bad, but I want a little more.

what are coilcovers exactly and how do they work? Can I adjust height with them?

I have hotchkis springs. They advertise a 1" drop but it's a little more than that. This is a pic with 18x9.5 Z06's all around.

I have the prokit on mine and definitely would not go any lower if it is a DD (ie: stay away from sportline), I have trouble with some speed bumps and pulling out of some places, the front end or y-pipe will catch. I used bilstein with mine, but if I had to do it over again I would probably go with the konis and strano. I did my drop back in high school and went with what a friend did with his. The only reason I would try the other set up is that I have heard it is not as hard of a ride as with the prokit and bilstein (but dont take my word for it)
