Default Again with the G2 LCAs...

I will try this again, one last time;

My passenger side G2 is banging like all hell, its not the exaust or the panhard, Ive checked. Over choppy roads, its unbearable how loud it is, and it sounds like hell on the outside as well. People are always asking what is broken on the thing, which wasnt exactly the reaction I paid a full 200 dollars (during the 15% discount period no less) and shipping to get.

Lets run through a list of things Ive done, just to get that out of the way;

1. Reversed the LCA, still there.
2. Torqued, torqued, and re-torqued all the bolts.
3. Tightened the jam-nuts, losened the jam-nuts, re-tightened the jam nuts.
4. Greased the poly ends like crazy.
5. Popped a little virgin graphine into the rod ends for fun.

Still banging like crazy, what else should I try?

I have emailed LG a couple of times, but I might as well be emailing a rock.

The little pieces that attach on either side of the rod end on the mount... are they the same size as the driver side?

A friend once mentioned, he got a dif size on one side, of those little spacers for lack of a better term.

Just one other thing to check...

Why don't you try calling him.

Lou and one other guy are all he has right now handling walk-ins, phones and e-mail. E-mail is the easiest to do, but takes the most time.

A 5 minute phone conversation will solve your problems.

Glitch,

Are there any "marks" on the LCA? If it is actually what is causing the banging, it will have a rub or wear mark on it. I suspect the Panhard bar may be hitting the upper banhard bar (the cross brace that runs above the PHB), or the exhaust is hitting the upper PHB during upward suspension travel....I'm not sure it is the actual LCA....(mine did it too, until I got my shocks set correctly....no more bang).

Common sense would say, "replace the potentially defective part with a known good part" to troubleshoot. So, why not swap in one stock LCA at a time and see if you can narrow it down...

As I remember, that has already been done....

Okay, it wasn't noted in the following summary so I must have missed it from a previous thread.

Fulton,

You're right, he didn't mention it...I was helping glitch at various times with this (if I was any help) and I think we (he) tried that....

I was making a statement, not trying to correct you, I apologize if it sounded wrong....

FWIW i too have the LGM Springs, Bilstein's,PHR, LCA's, Sways etc....
I had a hellacious banging going on for the longest!! found out it was my Borla installed incorrectly & the 3 in pipe over the axle was banging like crazy.
Took it to this other muffler guy & he fixed it right up. i was putting heater hose & all kinds of **** there to "muffle" the sound. Would work for awhile then start again. "Could" it be your exhaust???
