Question Pinion angle = wheel hop?

Considering you have everything else right can the wrong pinion angle cause wheel hop?

What suspension components do you have? You'll probably need so decent LCA's and maybe a torque arm to get rid of it--if you don't have them already.

It is a 99 SS that I bought with everything already on it. I have Eibach springs that I believe are stock ones from SLP. The car also has Metco LCA's and LCA relocation brackets, BMR adjustable panhard and QA1's all around. The car had a BMR extreme duty torque arm and it had wheel hop. I switched to a stock torque arm because I hated the road noise and it didn't help or hurt the wheel hop. I pulled the QA1's off the back to check them out I was told they are good by a QA1 rebuilder. It has a set of stock shocks from my 02 WS6 on it now and the wheel hop is still there. The only thing I can think of is that it had the wrong pinion angle with the BMR T/A and it is definatly wrong with the stock T/A. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jason

Sounds like you need to get the pinion angle straightened out and also get a set of control arm relocation brackets. You want your pinion angle to be -2 to -3 degrees. If you need any help on how to set it correctly give us a call. Our tech dept is here MON-FRI 8:30AM-6:00PM EST.

is there differents pinion angles for different tires or roads? i.e. if you had slicks compared to street tires, or if the car was a track car only or a DD
