Default Front spring/shock swap help

I have spent the last 2 days pulling the front suspension off my 2000 z28 to put a set of Koni's and LT1 eibachs on, well I get it all off and both of the top nuts are seized onto the assembly and I cant get it off and I dont have a 2nd car to drive it somewhere to have a shop get the nut off. Anyone know where I can get a full front suspension hardware package? or atleast the top and bottom spring isolators?

Thanks Jim.

you can get the isolators at napa, both top and bottom.

check napaonline.com, i just looked at them a few days ago. they arent real cheap, but they are available.

I ended up getting it off and being able to reuse some of the factory items, the front passenger shock nut wouldnt even come out with an impact we had to use a Cut off wheel, but there on there and it feels awsome.

Now time to do the back=D

Yeah, those nuts are always rusted, worst part of the whole job. I had to get a new dr's side upper mount...the inner metal sleeve that goes on the shock shaft pulled out. The nut was rusted and we used a localized heat tool so it probably destroyed the rubber in there and it fell apart. So I broke down and shelled out the $98 for a mount, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do!

I also am just about ready to get my car back on the ground after the Konis and Strano springs/bars...cant wait! Good to hear you like them.

The back is ridiculously easy compared to the front. You'll be happy you have the hard part out of the way.

Yeah it sucked but we got it, and the back AMG hardest part was trying to hold the stock shock shaft and get the nut off, but it was rediculously(sp) easy. But wow it feels awsome, Thanks every for the imput and THANK you Strano.

Next I save up for a new rear once season gets back here.

The rear is easy, I just did the exact same thing as you only I did it backwards. My car sits on a jackstand as I await the installation of a new upper ball joint into the upper control arm. I stripped the ball joint when taking it off. Fun, fun fun!

Potentially the nut on the top of the strut assemble will rust up and you will have to cut it off....in my case the nut was shot as well as the entire strut mount inner sleeve was frozen to the strut shaft....i had to cut the strut up to get it apart.
