lowering springs on stock shocks, bad idea?

I'm lowered on stock shocks, it's not that bad.
Is it the best setup? Of course not. I eventually plan on upgrading my shocks when I get some extra cash. It'll be fine as a short term solution to get rid of the 4x4 look.
