My suspension modifications to the car are: NONE
When I make low speed turns in the car the front suspension seems to groan/squeak. The car is stock, 29,000 miles, and still running the factory Goodyear GSC's. The owner that had the car before me took really good care of it. And I just had the car inspected.
So, is this normal on these cars?

Wow,
Who drug up this old thread?
I think this was my first post on LS1Tech. I don't know what solved the problem, but when I replaced the rear, the problem seemed to go away. We tore the entire rearend out and replaced it with another 10 bolt diff, if that helps. Maybe it was the sway bar bushings, but I didn't replace them just tightened them up. Oh well if the problems return when I put the car back on the road in the spring that'll be the first thing that I check.

My car was quiet until I did the SLP Y-pipe install, which included
removing & reinstalling the front (convertible) cross-brace. After
this is picked up a groan as described. Beefed to the dealership,
they "loosened & retightened everything" without entirely fixing
it.
Eventually it went away again on its own... I guess whatever
was sliding got settled into a happy place.
So there -is- a chance that if you ignore it long enough it will
go away.
