This brace has another point (I think). Has anyone tried this vs the two point ones? I had one on my last SS and I did notice a difference and would like to put one on my new car. Just not sure if its worth it to get this one over a 2 point.

Thanks for any insite.

A friend and fellow competitor has one. to be honest we never drilled and connected the rear part of the bar. Also it was a pain in the butt to take out and put back when we changed shocks on his car. I'm not knocking it it is well made and looks to be decent I just don't think the improvement will be worth the hassle of the installation. In my previous and current car I have had a 2 point installed. I also like the ease installation and un-installation you have to do anything like spark plugs, valve train related upgrade or inspections, shock upgrades, etc.

This is usually a pretty controversial issue. I personally believe the STB does nothing. I also believe most of the people who say it does something are experiencing a placebo effect.

One thing is guaranteed, a bigger front swaybar will probably accomplish whatever people expect the front STB to do and it ACTUALLY has an effect that you can feel on handling.

I got my STB for looks! Can't say it really made a difference since I had all the other suspension parts in my sig and I did the STB last. I did have an Edelbrock 3 point STB on my 90 Camaro and it made a big difference, but different car, different front suspension.

I've heard a STB makes a huge difference on the 3rd gen

The edelbrock one was a PITA to remove/install. I have also heard that they can break the windshield. I sold mine and plan on getting a 2pt late on, might as well if i'm stiffening the rest of the car. Can hurt right?

Well if they can break the windshield then they have to be doing something.

GOOD POINT!!

I have a 3 point STB, got it from LG Motorsports a LONG time ago. I haven't broken a windshield yet, even here in western New York, "home of the pothole". It is, however a PITA to take out or put in, when you need to remove the intake for it's "every 3 year oil leak re-seal".

What does the original poster want the STB for. If your hoping for some sort of better handling, throw that whole idea aside and go for at big front swaybar.

try to skip the STB. tried many of them, even fabricated my own. in the end, they were all dead weight on an already heavy nosed car.
