Getting to hook on street.

I can't hook on the street for nothing. I'm about to order some lca's and mickey thompson dr's and maybe some shocks. My car is a A4 and if I just floor it from a dead stop the tires just smoke all the way to the top of 2nd. So I tried to ease into the throttle in 1st and once it hooks I floor it. Still it starts to spend once it hits around 4500 rpm and continue to spin when it hits 2nd for a second or 2. Do you guys have any luck hooking on the streets? Do dr's hook any better on the streets??

the LCA's and te M/T's will make a HUGE difference when trying to hook on the street, a good set of shocks would also help your cause.

I run BFG DR's, adjustable tq arm, comp. eng. rear drag shocks set on 50/50, LCA relo brackets, LCA's with 4.10s and I cant hook up for anything in first gear. You might have abit easier time depending on yours mods also. My heads/cam combo has a ton of instant torque and it tends to break the tires loose in first at any RPM. but second is usually hook and go baby!

I would also recommend a set of lower control arm relocation brackets.. they make a world of a difference on the street. I posted two links below, if you have any questions please ask.

with the parts in my sig and running a set of KDW 18" tires i still get no traction. Im sure once the M/T drags are on almost all of your issues will be gone.
