Default How much to install?

For those of you who have the Kenny Brown Double Diamond SFC's or the SLP or any other double diamond weld on SFC, how much did it cost to do the whole installation? Brake line relocation and everything.

I was quoted 100 for bolt-on and 150 for weld-on. This is by a very reputable performance shop with a great standing in the LS1/6 performance community.

I would suggest sending back the DD subframes and just getting some Tubular from BMR. They are really solid and it only cost me $50 to get them welded in.

$150 seems a little high to me for the DD subframes.

Ask around though, I think most people would tell you to get the BMR style Tube or boxed subframes.

hope this helps.

I'll install a set of mine on your car for $50 bolt-on and $100 if you want them welded.
Of course you need to get your car to Ohio.

The reason I got the DDs was because I love going through the twisties way more than the drag strip... just a lot more fun. Having friends with fine german cars makes me want to do the stuff that they can do. It seems the BMR ones are made more for striaght line performance rather than handling through turns. While they may aid it I still don't see how much better they can be than the DDs which attach in the middle of the car also. Chassis stiffening can never be overdone, so thats why I went with the DDs.

But yeah I think I am going to call a few more shops to see how much they want.

DGOETZ, yeah the whole being in California thing would make it jsut a tad difficult to get them welded for that price. But a killer price though!

I didn't thing you'd make the drive to Ohio.
I actually install mine for less because I want to sell my product.
As far as 3 point yes the DGoetz Coupe SFC's are 3 point. They work great for the twisties especially when coupled with the Tunnel and Strut Tower Braces that are also available.

I paid $200. labor to have my KBDD welded in by a reputable performance shop.It seems a little on the high side though.

I'm very happy with the results,i no longer have to dodge man hole covers.
