Default Does a TA need a rod end as a PHB and LCAs do?

I know that for LCAs and PHBs that it needs at least 1 rod end for proper movement and to minimize/eliminate any binding. (learned that from Trackbird!) But does it matter for the front mount on a Torque arm? (spefifically Spohn because its one of 2 or 3 that uses its own crossmember) Does the front portion of the arm see enough or the right movement for it to need one? Unfortunately, I already have mine and I hope its not too late for me to swap it if I need to. I went ahead and ordered the poly end without researching, and I was wondering if Im going to be able to swap it out? Thanks

Poly works pretty well in that location, but like anything that rotates (when a wheel drops into a hole, it will twist the arm), a heim joint is a very good (better?) choice. However, in this case, I don't think it is worth the cost of sending it back for the difference that you'll see (or not see). It is a good choice, but I don't think I'd worry about it at this point. On a cost to benefit ratio, it is not likly worth the money. (I'd keep yours....you'll be fine).

So in order to use a rod end, the arm will have to be modified? Is it possible for me to just buy the end and replace it? Thanks for your input and if I dont decide to mess with it, I hope that it does fine.

I'd not mess with it. It really isn't worth the trouble for a drag race application (or the street for that matter). I'd leave it alone.

It depends on what you want to do with them. They work ok for drag racing (and not much else).....
