True. But 5/8" will go on the coil a little more snugly and be easier to get further down the coil.

3/4" is larger so I would think 3/4" would go further down the coil. How far did you go?

I can't exactly remember but you get to the point where you have hose on top of hose and then it gets really hard to get it on further. But at that point you have more than enough anyway.

Just do it and post up some pics! You can get springs later if you feel the need to go lower. But I predict you will really like the lower perch/heater hose stance, ride, everything.

All you want is enough hose on the top coil to keep metal from hitting. Something durable like a air hose or heater hose. you can use some type of lube on the coil to help get the hose on

I just did this mod and used 1/2" 200psi hydraullic hose. Fits snugly on the spring.

Yeah, 1/2" ID hose. I tried both heater hose and hydraullic hose and ended up going with the hydraulic hose. About 1ft in length or less is all that's needed. My springs are stock.

I tried the 5/8" and it's very loose... so I went down to 1/2" and it's a snug fit.

Quick Reply: Hose Mod- 3/4" or 5/8" Hose?
