Default Those of you with front AFCO shocks inside please!

I was curious to know how you guys were bolting these up? I have the stock replacement shocks, but the guy I had to install them did not use my factory isolators because he said that it would not work with the AFCO shocks. I am going to take my shock assemblies apart and findout why because there is terrible noise coming from the front end and then I will be reinstalling them myself like I should have done before. My car did not have any noises at all in the front suspension before I had the shock install done.

Thanks,
Jason

the AFCO shocks use their own upper mounting system that mounts the helm joint on the top of the shock to the car. the factory upper mount deals are not reused.

Cool, thanks I'll see if i cant get some from AFCO. Or are you saying that something already exists on the shock that was not used?

if you are lookin at the front AFCOs, they have a helm joint on the top mount. that get's attached to this bracket made by AFCO to fit our cars. you have to get the mounting kit for the f-body. i'll see if i can get a picture of it in my car.

as you can see, you reuse the top bracket where it mounts to your upper A arms but you use the new AFCO shock mount to attach the coilover to the car.
