No..... A pair of rear Koni Sports starts around $255. Yes, depending on which shock you choose they can run up to (and over if you opt for DA's) $370 or so. But it's not accurate to say they all start there for this car based on one damper. That'd be like saying all Chevrolets are $70k based on a Z06. Some are more (ZR1) and some are way less (Aveo).

Ok.... I really need this to stop because I can't stand partial and half-assed information (and there is far too much of it around these days).
I don't know the particular situation here. That said, Koni's do have a lifetime warranty, but there are limits. Limit #1, you have to be the original owner of the shocks, they will not warranty shocks that you didn't buy new. Limit #2, stupidity. Some folks seem to think it okay to do things like take their bumpstops off and so on. That can and will bottom out a shock and break it. I don't think GM would warranty an engine you disabled the rev-limiter on and then you blew up.... this is no different.
Again, I don't know the details here, but 90% of the time it's because the shocks were second-hand. All I ask for is a little common sense. There is nothing more frustrating than misinformation, or a lack of information that makes it seem like someone is up to no good. Details matter. They matter in life, they matter here, and they matter when you are choosing parts for your car.
